CUSD is using guidance issued by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) as a framework for reopening District facilities for non-school-related youth-athletic programs.

Click here for the latest information on CDPH guidance for Outdoor and Indoor Youth and Recreational Adult Sports and to see which athletic activities are considered for approval.

It is the responsibility of approved groups to follow and enforce state guidance of physical distancing and safety protocols for all its participants. It is not practical to expect District staff to monitor individual groups for compliance with health orders, however, groups may risk immediate cancelation of approved activities if reported that they are not following general guidance outlined by the California Department of Public Health.

Facility usage is dependent on state guidance and is subject to change at any time given the level of COVID-19 transmission in Orange County.

School facilities are provided primarily for the education of students and that use will always be given first priority. District facilities are available for community use when the activity is consistent with the best interest of the district and does not interfere with the regular conduct of the educational program. Since school district financial resources are limited and community use of facilities can result in significant costs, the district may recover some or all of these costs pursuant to Education Code Section 38134.

Be advised that a nominal fee will be assessed to outside groups requesting facility use in the district.  Please refer to the fee schedule found under Community Links.

Additional custodial support is required for all after-hours and weekend use: $46/hour, minimum 3-hours.
