Dealing with the death of a loved one or friend is one of the most stressful events children ever face. Parents are frequently at a loss as to what they can say or do to help their children cope. We hope that this information will help parents better understand how children often react to death and how parents can help their children with the grieving process.

All CUSD students have access to counselors, psychologists, and intervention specialists. These individuals are licensed and trained in how to help children and adults cope with loss. If your child needs to speak with someone, or you would like further assistance on how to speak to your child, feel free and contact your site administrator to be connected with the appropriate staff.
